As a filmmaker, I don't go in knowing what the film is. I have to discover it. It’s almost identical to how I work as a psychoanalytic clinician. I don't arrive with a diagnosis of the story. I create conditions where the story can emerge.
Research is how I learn. Relation is how I learn with people. Form is how the inquiry becomes public.
