Hx-family-memory-predatory-lg 1
installation, Bard College Graduate Studios
07_8_2018
The piece was approached as a non-linear and interactive narrative project. Like a film but the frames of a film printed, layered, and falling from the active printers as audiences walk into the room. A text was written and layered visually with the printed images.
An interactive installation performance that explores memory functions. This project acts as a playful and fictionalized “DIY” therapy of recovering memories. There are things about family and computers and the internet and Freud’s screen memory and a mapping of psychology.
Audiences interact with the printed falling pages while the printers are mic’d and amplified.
The first installation event of the work.
